A: Thursdays at 6:30 in Bruininks hall room 220 for September 12th and 19th, after that meetings will be held in room 432!

Q: When are meetings?

Q: Is this a photography club?

A: No, but you could make a film about photography!

A: Only if you want it to be! Some of our members work on projects for 10 or more hours a week and some come to meetings every other week and every thing in between, it’s completely up to you!

Q: Is it a big time commitment?

Q: What if I can’t make it to meetings?

A: We’d still love to have you! Join our newsletter (via the ‘join StudioU’ tab) and you can find out when we are having shoots and events.

Q: Was 2023 StudioU’s 10 year anniversary?

A: Great question! Why yes it is! Thanks for asking!

A: Yes, any University of Minnesota student can join and anyone from the twin cities area can act in our projects!

Q: Can anyone join?

Q: Does it cost money to join?

A: Nope, each project actually gets a small amount of funding for things like props and costumes.

A: Nope, all projects are provided with access to StudioU’s extensive equipment inventory. Students can also use equipment from LATIS video or bring their own if they want.

Q: Do I have to bring my own equipment?

A: Nope, but we have showcase nights where we watch the films we made the previous semester at the beginning of each semester!

Q: Is this a film watching club?

Q: What type of films do you make?

A: All sorts! We’ve made short series, skits, mockumentaries and much more!

A: You don’t need any experience; we are a group with a focus on learning and building skills. If you do have experience you will be able to put your skills to use in the ways you most enjoy and build more advanced ones.

Q: Do I need experience to join?
